THIS IS JAPANESE NEW YEAR'S EVE.
Toshikoshi noodles are what many people in Japan eat on New Years Eve.
The noodles’ long skinny shape symbolizes longevity of life; and because the noodles are also soft and easy to cut, people hope to cut out this year’s misfortune and instead invite good luck!
